How It All Works
I invite prospective owners to visit the litter when the puppies are about a month old and it is at that time that you may select your puppy if you wish to do so. Puppies are of course viewed with their mother and Teddy or Jesse, whichever stud is the sire of the puppies will also be here for you to meet. The parents’ DNA and KC paperwork will be here for you to view also.
Puppies leave when they are eight weeks old. They will have been wormed regularly with Panacur and Drontal, had a microchip implanted and had a health check from the vet at the same time. I do not always vaccinate as the puppies are only 7 weeks at their vet check appointment and are usually still nursing. The maternal antibodies still present may make the vaccination less effective. In addition we have had problems with the new vet not stocking the vaccine we have used, meaning that puppies will have to start again and have an extra dose which is not ideal. However, our mothers are ALL vaccinated which is most important to protect the puppies during their first weeks. They can then be vaccinated in their new homes at around 8 weeks old once the maternal antibodies have diminished.
They will leave with copies of all paperwork to include their parents’ DNA testing and Kennel Club certificates, Diet and Health Record and advice notes, together with a familiar soft toy and blanket to help them settle in well. A month’s free insurance cover with Petplan is available. Some of their regular top quality food will be provided together with a voucher from Royal Canin, should you require it. New from 2019 and to comply with the Higher Standards of the new licensing regulations, I also provide a Puppy Contract of Sale which has been professionally drafted and sets out what is expected of you as an owner and me as a breeder. Of course I am always available to give advice if needed at any point before and after you take your puppy home.
